What are the fees and what is included for this price?
Individual appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes (plus an additional 10 minute of administration work) at $160. Paperwork and telephone calls are billed at the standard hourly rate.
How do I pay?
We offer electronic invoices the day of the appointment. E-transfers are accepted at info@ACtherapy.ca in addition to accepting all major credit cards.
Psychotherapy by a Registered Social Worker is often covered by private insurance plans in Nova Scotia. To determine if you have coverage through your insurance benefit provider, please contact your insurance provider directly to inquire about your benefit before attending your first session. Anchored Connections does not offer direct billing at this time. Receipts will be provided after payment for self-submission to request reimbursement to your insurance company if applicable.
Some helpful questions to ask when calling insurance benefit provider:
-What are my mental health benefits?
-What is my coverage per therapy session?
-How many sessions does my plan cover?
-Are registered social workers covered to provide counselling/therapy under my health plan?
Cancellation Policy
We have set aside your session date and time specifically for you. We require at least 24-hour notice for cancellations (1 business day, which does not include weekends). If you can’t make an appointment without sufficient notice, you will be billed for the full session. Please note missed appointments cannot be billed to insurance and will require a valid credit card on file for these billing purposes. Missed appointments will be paid prior to booking another therapy session. Please contact your therapist directly to cancel/reschedule the appointment.
